Our Story
- 2000 - Claire Bissett started Southbourne Physiotherapy as a sole trader from her home.
- 2000 - The business quickly built through word-of-mouth recommendations and outgrew the one room.
- 2006 - The business relocated to its current premises and took on a number of self-employed associates.
- 2023 - The business was acquired by Atlas Health Group. This gave us more support to provide mentorship and further training opportunities for our therapists, ensuring their knowledge is kept up to date to deliver premium care to all patients.
Where Are We Now?
The business was initially providing traditional musculoskeletal (MSK) services but has now become a thriving multi-specialism clinic. While MSK services remain the core offering, the clinic also provides neurological rehabilitation, acupuncture, vestibular rehabilitation, domiciliary care, women’s health, massage and hand therapy. The clinic is well known in the community and prides itself on offering a quality and personal service. The business has a manned reception at all times.
